Cave Vessel

This piece has been partially coiled by hand and once I have finished coiling to the desired height, the rim is then pinched and pulled and allowed to dry a little overnight - the next stage is to cut the holes with a potters knife.

The holes in this Vessel are inspired by the dark black caves, which I find inviting, almost calling you to enter to explore the dark craggy cavern.

The external glaze on this one off piece of art has a lovely tactile finish and the inside is glazed with a black rough surface.

Care instructions: Please take care when handling this product. The blisters can occasionally burst, this is the effect of the glaze. If this happens, all it needs is a little light sanding by hand to remove any sharp edges and a rinse with water.
